It runs at 20 D-size ppm B&W / 16 D-size ppm color at 600 x 2400 dpi, with 4 rolls (650 ft each, 11–36" widths) — 7,800 sq ft total media capacity and a 12 inches touchscreen running KIP System K. The 980 is the multifunction in the 900 color series — same 20/16 ppm production engine as the 970, but with the integrated KIP 720 CIS color scanner so you can scan, copy, and reprint without a separate scan station. The thing buyers regret: you scan thick or rigid originals and the CIS won't take them — the 990 (CCD) handles up to 0.5" thick. On the KIP 900 color series, that's the trade you size around.
