Brother MFC-L6900DWX
The Brother MFC-L6900DWX is a desktop monochrome laser multifunction built for workgroups of 10-30 people that print heavy mono volume and need fast scan, copy, and fax in one box. It prints and copies at 52 ppm with a 7.5-second first page out, scans two-sided originals at 100 ipm via the 80-page duplex ADF, and is rated for a 150,000-page monthly duty cycle (Brother's stated max — practical sweet spot is 5,000-10,000 pages/month). Standard paper capacity is 570 sheets across the 520-sheet tray and 50-sheet multipurpose, expandable to 1,610 sheets with extra trays or 2,650 with the tower. The 4.85-inch color touchscreen handles scan-to-cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Evernote, OneNote) and SharePoint workflows, NFC card tap is standard, and Active Directory authentication ships in the firmware. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi — wire it if your wireless is crowded. Two notes: this model is discontinued, so confirm stock before committing, and the 4.85" screen feels small if you've used the 7" panel on the EX670W or L9570CDW. The thing buyers regret: not budgeting for the high-yield TN-880 toner up front. Standard cartridges run out fast at this print speed.
